Mermet USA, a leader from a solar protection market, has introduced Chroma, an innovative solar shade fabric by working with aluminium, high reflectance backing.
Chroma reflects up to 78 per cent using solar radiation for heat tools and blocks up to 98 % of visible light. When used in combination with a standard insulated glass unit, the content can improve the combined Solar Energy Gain Coefficient (SHGC) up to 39 per cent for improved building bag performance, according to a company release.
"We are excited to introduce Chroma as a general solution to the daylighting and cold issues commonly faced in packed, educational and residential facilities, " said Robert Beals, product settings for Mermet. "With Chroma, our group challenged ourselves to deliver a descendencia shade fabric that could meet the most recent stylistic and functional demands using architects and designers globally, " he adds.
Akin to Mermet's different kinds of fibreglass core shade fabrics, Chroma provides mechanical resistance and dimensional stability, but with a nano-layer using aluminium for solar performance and as well view through clarity. The nano-layer only covers the fabric's fibers, leaving the 2x2 basket place and textile properties visually unchanged.
The inherently strong fibreglass mixes enables Chroma fabric to test outstandingly for adhesion, weathering and ceasing strength.
With all properties combined, Chroma essentially provides the reflective properties using white fabric and the visual ingredients of dark fabric in one, beautifying temperature control and preventing eyeball, while maintaining ideal view through. Can make the fabric ideal for optimising indoor enviromentally friendly quality for comfort, health, efficiency and sustainability.
